Bodywork

Bodywork/Massage Therapy is always individualized per session with a blend of techniques, based on how you are feeling that particular day. My center of interest is to help you feel your best by being attentive to your present needs and cultivating a safe, effective, healing, relaxing and professional-result-oriented massage just for you.

One of my favorite treats for you and additions in all of our sessions is to create the 'Blend of the day' using my handmade body products and you there to help me develop the perfect essential oil blend for each and every session, if you like of course.

My professional concentration has been in injury recovery, ongoing pain management therapy, post-surgery care, and structural dysfunction. We can also customize any session to reflect your intention as in Swedish, Rejuvenation, Relaxation, or sports massage assisting in muscle recovery from weight lifting, Crossfit, prepping for a race, etc.

Pain Mangement | Recovery Massage

My bodywork focus for over 15 years has been in the medical Massage field. I proudly have worked in conjunction with MD's, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, acupuncturists and the like; developing successful treatment plans for a wide variety of injuries, surgery recoveries, work mis-haps, car accicents and so on. Recovery therapy also flows over with Althlete's, skiing, snowboarding, Crossfitters and Extreme sports fanatics. For me, this practice of work has been wildy rewarding.

Deep Tissue | NMT

Deep tissue massage is exceedingly beneficial for adhesions in the muscle, which can cause pain, inflammation, limited range of motion of muscles and joints, chronic pain and structural imbalances. Because a deep tissue tecnique reaches the deepest layers of muscle, fascia and tendons; the ability to releive pain, discomfort, improve posture, and so much more has been proven definitively.

Nuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a precise, thorough examination and treatment of the body’s soft tissues.

NMT is highly effective for clients who present with chronic pain and is often successful in reducing or eliminating even longstanding painful conditions. Some of the techniques can also be applied to acute injuries and for post-surgical care; many help to improve performance in sport or dance and to prevent injuries due to these activities.

Primarily addressing:

Tight tissue with reduced blood flow, neural entrapment and nerve compression , postural and whole body assessment, and dysfunctional gait patterns - with constant consideration for many other perpetuating factors, such as hydration, nutrition, breathing patterns, and psychologic stress, habits of use, nutritional components, emotional wellbeing, allergies, neuroexcitants, neurotoxins, and other core elements that can masquerade as myofascial pain and dysfunction.

Myofacial | Trigger Point

Myofascial Release involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests. Myofascial Release allows the treatment of each guest individually. To educate in proper self-care for movement, enhancement of strength, improved flexibility, and postural awareness.

Trigger point Therapy is the specific treatment of Myofacial points within the fascial tissue. The fascia can get stressed from overuse or trauma lending the possibility of tears and adheasions.

These adhesions are called "trigger points" and can prevent the muscles from working properly, causing radiating referral pain, an increase in muscle stiffness, tenderness and a decrease in range-of-motion.
